Nestled in 5 acres of gardens and natural bushland in the leafy, rural community of Red Hill, on the Mornington Peninsula, south of Melbourne, Kurrara Designs Studio is a great place to come to smell the roses, unwind and be inspired to learn about and create your own textile art.
It’s all about the feel-good factor when you come to textile art workshops at Kurrara Designs Studio. Groups are kept small and personal, so that the experience can be tailored to fit your specific learning needs, which means you can be guaranteed to have an enjoyable and productive day of creating and crafting. If you would like to know more, please check out the Workshops page to see which projects are right for you.
If you are part of a craft group and are interested in organising a craft retreat with on-site accommodation, please check out the Mainly Sewing page. If you are looking for accommodation for one of my workshops, I can also recommend Howard's Hill, a beautiful converted barn only 15-20 minutes drive from the studio.
The Mornington Peninsula is renowned for the high quality of its food and wine and should you wish to take home a few mementos of your visit, Kurrara Designs Studio is ideally located, being next door to the Peninsula's oldest commercial winery, Main Ridge Estate, and across the road from Red Hill Cheese.
